Hurricane Helene - Western NC

The rain from Hurricane Helene hadn't even stopped and mobile kitchens with Baptists on Mission Disaster Relief were already on the move. Volunteers provided up to 42,000 hot meals a day for 6 weeks at multiple sites while other volunteers removed trees off houses and mud from interior rooms. Currently the Essential Rapid Repairs project is getting families back in their homes as soon as possible. Replacing electrical, plumbing, HCAV, flooring, insulation and sheetrock, teams will return to finish the homes later in the year.
